The 55th edition of the boating event - Genoa. 

It is a celebration for the sea. It is a week to dream, to gaze, to immerge at 360 degrees in the breathtaking experience of the sea: from 30 September to 5 October Genoa is the queen of the sea and of boating. The Boat show, in its unique structure on land as on the sea, welcomes, one next to the other, more than 1000 boats, 760 exhibitors and 140 external operators from more than 36 countries. 
Nowadays the socio-economical time in our country is complex and boating is registering a positive trend, taking a breath of optimism among boating operators, also at an international level.

This trend is confirmed by this edition data, which shares boating vivacity by achieving: a double-digit growth in boats presence, the return of big boating names and the entrance of new shipyards, the great response of the press and international boating operators. All this to confirm the strategic role of the Boating Show to promote Italy and its product around the world.

These 55 years have created an extraordinary experience in products, customers, networks, reputation and image. As a heritage of all, it must be defended by all." The biggest show of the Mediterranean is more alive than ever, it comes up with an appealing formula, capable of capturing the enthusiasm of expert professionals and amateurs. For over half a century the Genoa Boat Show gathers the best of the Italian and worldwide shipbuilding, confirming as a major event for exhibitors to introduce their products and promote their brand to an audience that last year exceeded 100 thousand visitors from all around the world. The event has what it takes to be a great meeting place for all sea lovers. The city of Genoa, the great city of the sea, offers a range of events to enjoy the “salt taste” of the Show at its full.
Six days of "Sea Experience" to try offshore the latest news or get involved with challenges and events to entertain visitors.
The President of The Boat Shows, Anton Francesco Albertoni, said: "In 2014 we decided to build a company with the primary aim to lead the organization of the Boat Show to a new, more modern, formula, updated to the latest changes of the market. The first overview of the event was positive, economically speaking also. This now starting edition is already growing: of course in exhibitors’ number, but also in boats size. We have new prestigious events such as the presence of Volvo Ocean Race crews, a new entry in an event like the Boating Show".

The public of the show eagerly sees the presence of VOR crews. They discover live the life on board, while the races Vestas Team and Team SCA are a great attraction for Italian sailors. The only Italian sailor who participated in the last edition, Alberto Bolzan, is on board and is the testimonial of the race among the public.
In addition to VOR, visitors have the opportunity to meet the champions of the main water sports, who are testimonials of the social campaign #conquistiamoilsalone. There is: Mauro Pelaschier, Silvia Sicouri, Francesco Bruni and Federico Cuciuc for sailing; Umberto Pelizzari apnea, Rossano Galtarossa for rowing, Lorenzo Bolesan and Kevin Langeree for kitesurfing, Leonardo Fioravanti for surfing, Giorgia Gregorio for wakeboarding, Antonello Salvi for fishing.
"It is a show for everyone who walk on the fil-rouge of real experiences - says Alessandro Campagna commercial director of the Show - The objective is to create an event that goes beyond the traditional visit, involving as many people as possible. A first achivement is the success of our social campaign: the eleven published videos have now reached more than 4 million views, with 17,000 new fans: now over 42,000".

More than 100,000 visitors gaze at the more than 1,000 boats spread over a total area of 200,000 square meters, with a significant growth of 20% over last year of the boats displayed in water. Several exhibitors wanted to strengthen their presence at the show, choosing Genoa as a crucial location to present their top range. The double-digit growth, up to 16%, including the fields of boats and accessories, is not a coincidence: the growth in exposing space is concerning all the four traditional classes. Here the details: 
Motor Yachts marks the best performance, as anticipated by the recent nautical leasing data, an even more significant increase considering the last year most distressed class of the middle segment (12 to 18 meters). This year the Yacht class will have not only an increased number of boats – among others the increment in Cranchi and Prestige ranges – but also a significant increase in boat size. Another very significant element is the return to the Show of large companies like Azimut, Sessa international, Pursuit and the debut of Sundek and Invictus.

Sailing, the most historic area of the show, will host a big amount of shipyards and, apart of the Italians Serigi, Del Pardo, Italian Yachts, Vismara, Advanced, Mylius, also the French group represented by Jeanneau and Beneteau, will increase the number of boats in the show, by showing also the range top products. Dufour will display its entire range; Hanse will increase its exposition area by 30%, and this is just mentioning a couple of them. Those boats knows how to blend comfort and style and never giving up on sportiness. Just to mention some of the new products: the FCB debut with the Brenta 80 by Schmidt (the s flagship of the sailing range), the return of CNB (with the Bordeaux 60), Vismara, Solaris and Pardo Shipyards. 
Same happened to inflatable boats and catamarans, marking great performances: the firsts confirms the maximum participation of the class, and catamarans, thanks also to the return of historic brands like Catana, Bali and Nautitech, tripled their presence in the last two editions.
